Vancouver, BC (May 27, 2008) – Asia Pacific Bizlinks (APB) and the Toronto Singapore Film Festival (TSFF) are proud to present the inaugural Vancouver Singapore Film Night (VSFN), to be held on Saturday, June 7th 2008 at the James Cowan Theatre at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby, B.C.
TSFF has held three successful film festivals in Toronto since February 2006, with the most recent one held in early April this year. This event saw a great turnout of audience, and had coverage by the press and media in Toronto as well as Singapore. TSFF brings this experience and expertise into a partnership with APB to organize VSFN, which they hope will share the same success as its Toronto counterpart.
The VSFN will showcase a movie marathon featuring five made-in-Singapore films with genres ranging from action, comedy and horror, to drama, politics and romance. Of these films, one is a Canadian premiere while the rest are Vancouver premieres.
